    I don't know why everyone was so scandalised. I can't have been the only one who suspected that they would read our letters home. To be perfectly honest, I'm only surprised that they haven't begun monitoring our journals or demanding to read through them at least once a month. I might have underestimated them, however. The punishment that was given today could certainly have been worse. I suspect that it wasn't only because MacDougal is a pureblood and the Carrows - perhaps - rightfully recognised that they would have had more on their hands to worry about than the DA if that spotty Hufflepuff had received a punishment more severe.

    I'm only annoyed with myself for having gotten used to momentary lack of trouble.

    I am counting the days away until the gala and the Slug Club party, and then finally, Christmas holiday.

    If anyone so much as giggles in my general direction, smiles at me, or attempts to sing less than twelve feet near me I will persuade my cousin to do something extremely drastic and painful to their person - Once my head stops pounding.

    And despite what I might have allowed some of you to believe while I was severely impaired by cheer, only a select few people are allowed to call me anything other than Abigail and Ms. Runcorn. It's something to remember while you're sharing horrid jokes away from me. I hate happy people

    Isn't today such a good and beautiful day!? I absolutely love it! It saddened me - not to worry, only very briefly - that more of my fellow students aren't sharing in the joy of this day! Until occurred to me to share with everyone what makes me happy when I'm in such a sour mood! Compliments and chocolate!

    I does please me to see the joy of one of our professors. My ears are still ringing from the absolutely lovely cheer of it.

    Oh, and before I forget, Slytherins! We're having a party in our common room. We should all be sure to thank Demelza and Juliet for the brilliant idea!
